Destiny

One of the reasons we have such a strong yearning to search for life purpose is that deep inside we KNOW that there is an ultimate destiny for us, and that if we could find it we would be forever filled with joy. This destiny is closer than we realize. The problem is we keep looking for the it in all the wrong places.

Most people search for life purpose, when the pot of gold is in our soul purpose.

What’s the difference? Life purpose is for our human being; soul purpose is for our spirit being. “Do what you love and the money will follow” is usually pursued from a human place – what feels good, looks good, what’s fun, makes money, provides security, brings comfort. Not bad, but not what will ultimately bring joy.

Soul purpose is deeper and not as easily found, even though it lives in us. There’s a part of us that already knows what it is, which is where the urge to seek comes from. Soul purpose is aligned with who you really are (or could become), not what you/others think you should be, and not what you think might be a good idea. It’s about growth, authenticity, Spirit (God), higher power, and what’s best for the Greater Good. It’s not about what you do for a living, it’s about how you do what you do while you’re living, and the you that’s doing it.

Once I stepped onto my soul path, I changed in ways that I never thought possible. Life opened up with purpose and power. There have been moments when I wondered where the heck I was going, but not once did I ever look back.

Getting there is a journey, a process that takes time, commitment, clarity, and often, guidance. There are mystical traditions that are good for this, such as Vedanta, Buddhism, and Kabalah. When I work with clients, I use a psycho-spiritual program and some assessments designed for this discovery. It is possible to find if you know where to look and what you’re looking for. A worthwhile endeavor, for sure.
